Software Therapy®

Software Therapy is the process through which software is coerced into performing the processes that we expect from that software. This process can involve modifying the base code, integrating with other software, reimplementing the current software package, or implementing a new package.


Software Therapy, when implemented fully, is comprised of the following components:

Analysis Evaluation of current software performance. Firm recommendation for increased usability with a discussion of alternate actions
Review The customer and SDC will review the options and select the desired course of action. Establish Division of Responsibilities and Tasks with an Overall Timeline and coordination activities
Resource Determination Assignment of resources to tasks and responsibilities Resources outlined with stated level of project commitment
Option Planning Evaluate the manner in which to implement selected option Selection of implementation model (spiral, waterfall) with project plan
Operation Implementing the planned activities with regular updates Testing, user coordination, emphasis on Expectation Management and coordination
Debriefing Evaluation of success of activity implementation Analysis of expectations of resulting achievement
Review Analysis of implementation after some period of use Analysis of actual returns measured against expected results
